AdSense earnings calculator
AdSense income is made of two parts: what advertisers pay for ads to be seen and what they pay when someone clicks. Enter your daily pageviews, how many ads each page shows, your CPM and your click numbers, and this calculator turns them into a page RPM and daily, monthly and yearly earnings. Use the table below it to see how much traffic you would need to reach the income you want.
What changes would add the most
Monthly earnings if you improved one thing at a time by a realistic step. The biggest bar is where your effort pays most.

How AdSense earnings are estimated
An AdSense page earns in two ways: the impressions of ads that load into view, and the occasional click. The calculator works out both, adds them together and expresses the total as page RPM, the earnings for every 1,000 pageviews.
Page RPM is the most useful number to track, because it already includes your layout, your audience and the season.
Count viewable impressions
Each pageview loads your ads, but only some come into view.
impressions = pageviews × ads per page × viewable share
Impression earnings
CPM is the price per 1,000 impressions.
impression earnings = impressions ÷ 1,000 × CPM
Click earnings
Clicks per pageview times the price of a click.
click earnings = pageviews × CTR × CPC
Page RPM
Total earnings per 1,000 pageviews.
page RPM = (impression + click earnings) ÷ pageviews × 1,000
Scale up
Months use 30.4 days and years 365.
monthly = daily × 30.4
AdSense earnings questions
How much does AdSense pay per 1,000 views?
Most sites earn somewhere between $1 and $10 per 1,000 pageviews, a figure AdSense calls page RPM. Finance, insurance, legal and software topics with US readers sit at the top end, while entertainment, gaming and international traffic sit at the bottom. Your own page RPM in the AdSense reports is the number to use.
Does AdSense pay per click or per impression?
Both, but Google moved AdSense to paying mainly per impression in 2024, with clicks still counting on some ads. This calculator splits your estimate into impression earnings, based on CPM, and click earnings, based on click-through rate and cost per click, so you can model either.
How many ads should I put on a page?
Three to five well-placed ads on a long article is common. More ads raise impressions but can lower the price of each one, slow the page and push readers away. Test one change at a time and watch page RPM, not just total impressions.
How much traffic do I need to make $100 a day with AdSense?
Divide $100 by your page RPM and multiply by 1,000. At a $5 page RPM you need about 20,000 pageviews a day, or roughly 600,000 a month. The table below the calculator shows daily, monthly and yearly income at several traffic levels.
Why is my AdSense income lower than this estimate?
Common reasons are a large share of readers from low-paying countries, ad blockers, ads that rarely load into view, and seasonal dips in January and summer. Compare the CPM and click-through rate in your reports with the numbers you entered.
When should I switch from AdSense to another network?
Once you have steady traffic, networks like Ezoic, Mediavine and Raptive often pay more per pageview because they run more advertisers against each slot. Use our website ad revenue calculator to compare networks at your traffic level.
Is this calculator from Google?
No. It is an independent estimate. AdSense earnings depend on your content, audience, layout and advertiser demand, and Google does not publish rates.
